My Three Sons

Saturday afternoon, January 24 My Three Sons (which fellow baby boomers remember this show starring Fred MacMurray?), two granddaughters and I are gathered at Club 55.  The Heyco women are attending our soon to be third daughter-in-law hens’ party, which began at a Newtown Vietnamese restaurant called ‘Rice Paper’.  Our youngest marries next Saturday, January 31, which is Barbara and my 39th wedding anniversary.

On this hot, summer afternoon, our grandchildren were entertained at Club 55 by playing with the toys inside, climbing the stairs and crawling around Grandma’s bed looking at items in the panels of the quilt (made for us by a friend who is coming from the US for the wedding).  They finished the afternoon by playing in the little portable clam-shaped pool we have bought.

I then hosted dinner at Pizza Da Noi, a local and popular new restaurant.  I thought I was in heaven sitting with my three sons and my two granddaughters.  They loved the little entrĂ©es, pizza and gelato.  Everyone left contented.

Returning home I could not imagine a more wonderful moment.  I am so blest by a close and loving family.  It certainly fills DHC with Hope!
