On Tuesdays and Thursdays one of our granddaughters spends the day here at Club 55. Barbara takes wonderful care of them. Last Tuesday one of them awoke too early from her after lunch sleep. I went into the room, picked her up from the cot and she snuggled deep into my chest. I stood there for a while deciding what I would do. I chose to lie down on the bed. As the photo shows, she fell asleep lying upon me. We spent about three quarters of an hour on the bed sleeping about half the time and the other half lying on our backs watching the ceiling fan turn. We went downstairs where she spent another half hour lying on Barbara watching the TV. So, she caught up on her sleep! It was a special afternoon.

Good Start to 2015
This morning (Monday 12 January), Barbara and I saw my
oncologist, Dr Kate. The blood test
shows my cancer remains dormant with indicators showing my liver is functioning
normally. So, I am booking a three week
trip to Uganda from mid February to early March. My main aim during this visit will be to work
on infrastructure planning in both Canaan and Bezallel Schools.
